Hydrangeas - One Day Watercolour Workshop

ay Nolan-Latchford is a local award-winning artist, designer, illustrator and much sought-after tutor. We are very fortunate that for the last 3 years she has chosen to teach workshops at The Barn. Jay’s workshops are always highly sought after, not only because they are great fun, but also because no matter what level your artistic experience or skills, everyone leaves with a piece of work that they feel truly proud of (and often surprised that they could create!). Join professional artist and award winning tutor Jay for this one day watercolour workshop. With all your materials and equipment provided we’’ll be using a combination of watercolours, pencils and metallic inks to paint this beautiful glass vase of hydrangeas. You’ll learn how to mix colour, use layers to create subtle tones and brush techniques to reproduce watery effects and texture. With step by step demonstrations and plenty of 1:1 guidance you’ll put into practice all the techniques from earlier in the day. Everyone will leave with a beautiful unique piece of art mounted and ready to frame. Light refreshments are provided (tea/coffee/biscuits), so we do suggest that you bring along your own lunch.
