Do you love creative expression but find you question and doubt your ability?
Professional artist and tutor Jay Nolan-Latchford and Michele Ryan from Dadirri Wellbeing will guide this wonderfully relaxing and inspiring evening.
In this workshop, Michele will introduce you to how mindfulness and meditation can relax, focus and free your innate creativity. Discover how it feels to forget past creative attempts, cease worrying about how a final piece will turn out and simply enjoy the experience of creativity in the present moment. You may surprise yourself!
The workshop includes:
-Guided relaxation meditation with sound to calm your “butterfly” mind -Mindfulness exercise to quieten the inner, critical voice and invite you to the present moment -Chakra Meditation; the Sacral Chakra is your creative center, we guide you to open and release your creativity -Mindful Mandala painting; breathe, create, enjoy the moment Concentration Meditation; connect to your mandala Basic mats, blankets, eye masks will be provided but please bring anything else you need to make yourself comfortable. Handouts of each meditation/exercise will be provided to help you to continue at home.
Jay will teach you all the techniques you need to paint a vibrant mandala painting. You’ll use a combination of acrylic paint and a variety of different brushes to create a unique, textured and detailed finish. This workshop is suitable for everyone, including absolute beginners. You’ll be guided through the painting step by step and also have the opportunity for plenty of 1:1 expert tuition.
As well as herbal tea and snacks, we will provide you with all the materials you need to leave with a beautiful canvas board, ready to frame.
